What is known.

I am a former resident of this home from 2007 to 2010. I am currently researching the history behind this home, so unfortunately not much is known at this time. What I do know is that the home, tragically, was demolished in early 2013 by the Goodland, Indiana Town Council because it was marked as "condemned".

My relative is related to the person who owned the property at the time because my relative married into their family, so my relative is the "son-in-law" while the used-to-be owner is the "father-in-law". The reason the home was condemned is because of my relative's incompetence and the used-to-be owner's incompetence. After my relative married into the family that owned this house, my relative and his wife moved into this house in Goodland.

The house had mortgages placed on it by the "father-in-law" for personal reasons but he wasn't paying back the mortgages hardly at all because he was gambling the money away, however, my relative was paying rent per month to the "father-in-law". With the "father-in-law" not paying back the mortgages that he took out on the house, the bank in 2012 began foreclosure proceedings against the "father-in-law". Some details later emerged that the bank was willing to negotiate a sort of "Rent to Own" deal with negotiable rent cost on the property to my relative so at least some money would be coming to the bank to pay towards the mortgages. My relative though rejected the offers from the bank because of stubbornness and infantile behavior that made no sense.

After that mess, my relative and his wife moved to the neighboring town into another house. Most of the furniture and items were left behind including high sentimental valued items. About a year later the house, along with all those items and furniture, was bulldozed.
