More About This House

This beautiful lakefront home has it all. Completed total remodel in 2018, preserving the rustic historic charm while adding modern elegance. Great spaces for entertaining friends and family yet very private, quiet and peaceful. You will enjoy beautiful views of Beaver Lake from almost every room in the house. Private partially paved drive to the 2 plus acre grounds makes it feel remote and secluded, yet you are just minutes from town.

This home sits on the banks of Beaver Lake, about 8 miles from Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. The driveway is ½ mile long and house is at the end of the driveway – no traffic. You will see boats, kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes on the lake. The driveway is shared with 3 additional homes with one other full-time resident, 1 seasonal resident, and 1 weekender. There is no HOA, however, we all share in the maintenance costs of the driveway. This property is a dream home for an artist, writer, photographer, or anyone who enjoys nature and wildlife. The home is approximately 75' gentle slope (easy walk) from the banks of Beaver Lake and includes a private deep water boat dock very near the main channel with shoreline on 3 sides of the property. The southern exposure provides warmth in the mornings. The many shade trees provide coolness in the summer afternoons, offer privacy, and provide brilliant fall foliage. This historic log home has been remodeled to perfection, including a stunning professional gourmet kitchen with custom cabinets including panel refrigerator and dishwasher, crown molding, Thermador appliances including steam oven, Thermador Professional oven, 6 burner gas range top and dishwasher. Beautiful exotic granite counter tops with an island perfect for entertaining. This home has radiant floor heating which is the most comfortable and most energy efficient heat. The kitchen, dining, and living area have gray barnwood look porcelain tile. The family room has brick flooring and the upstairs has painted hardwood floors. There is a wood burning fireplace in the family room and one in the living room. A new septic tank was installed in 2017. Outside logs, wood decks and lakeside outdoor kitchen were stained and sealed in 2019. There is a lakeside fire pit with benches. This home is move-in ready.

This very special 2400 sq. ft. home has 2 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom, one with a claw-foot tub and one with a tiled glass surround walk-in shower. Both bedrooms along with 2 walk-in closets are upstairs. Bedrooms have awesome year-round lake views. The kitchen and dining area have large windows that take in the natural light and also sliding glass doors that open onto a 60' X 12' deck that is perfect for entertaining or for just sitting and reading a good book while enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. Attached to the kitchen there is a 225 sq. ft. screened in porch that is also accessible from the deck, which is great for enjoying the sights and the sounds of the birds in the morning and enjoying the beautiful sunsets in the evening. Walk out the front door and down some steps closer to the lake to find an entertainment area which includes a deck with built in benches and picnic tables and also the small indoor/outdoor cooking area attached to the lakeside deck. This is an unbelievable place for entertaining your friends and family who can come by car or by boat. If you enjoy wildlife, nature, peace and quiet, fishing, kayaking, boating, paddle boarding, you will be happy here. We have deer, squirrels, ducks, geese, turkeys, owls, eagles, finches, hummingbirds and more. There is a 30' X 40' 2-car detached garage with extra space for storage or for your woodworking or other hobbies. There is storage here for anything you might need. In the back of the garage is an additional room that we are using for a home gym and all the gym equipment stays. There is a very nice garden area that includes an herb garden, planting area, sink and very small greenhouse. Additionally, there is a solar powered outdoor shower in the garden area. The grounds are landscaped beautifully with dogwoods, daffodils, tulips, hydrangeas and other trees, flowers, and perennials. There are some raspberries and fruit trees on the property. All power lines are underground so no unsightly lines in your view. There are too many amenities to list them all here.
