History
The Arcola Court House is a Municipal Heritage Building designed by architects and constructed in 1908. It is one of the oldest buildings in Arcola and stands as a landmark in the community.The classical influence is apparent in the symmetrical arrangement of the windows and a projecting entrance way , that is flanked by columns and surmounted by the provincial crest.
The building is enhanced by spacious lawns and varied vegetation.
Recent Improvements
The building is heated by a gas fired , low pressure steam boiler with the corresponding wall convectors and radiators in each room.Repairs are being made to the boiler and some of the radiators and piping.
