Historic Jones Farm

Centrally located on a total of 92 +/- acres in southern Winston-Salem/Forsyth County, NC, the Jones Farm was originally a part of a large land grant from King George. The farm has been in the Jones family for 200 years. Over the last 100 years, it was the home of Rowan A. Jones and his wife Bertha Miller Jones, their children and their heirs.

The second to the youngest of Rowan and Bertha’s 10 children, Sam R. Jones has raised cattle, hogs and a variety of feed crops on the property for 70+ years. So many childhood memories were formed in the kitchen of the old farmhouse. Grandma Bertha’s yeast rolls fresh from the oven of her old blue wood cookstove that she proudly exclaimed was there when Rowan brought her home to on their wedding day.

Form your own family memories like the Jones family has done for over a century, like coming in from a hard day working in the fields, washing your hands in the original farm sink, then sitting down at the farm table and bench that had been there as long as the farmhouse itself to one of Grandma Jones’s delicious suppers...a big pitcher of ice cold milk fresh from the cow, delicious fried chicken, vegetables grown in the large garden out back, and homemade pumpkin and apple pie.

It is with a bit of sadness that the Jones heirs have decided to sell the farm, centrally located to the Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and High Point metropolitan areas. The Jones heirs’ hope is that a new family will settle the property and build their own legacy on this historic farm...that the new family will love this old farm as much as we have, building memories of their own.
