Historic Gold Hill Village

In the 1840's, Gold Hill was a booming gold mining town with over a hundred pubs, several brothels, and a few general stores. It was "the place to be" in its time. There was more gold found in Gold Hill than any other mine in the region, including Reed's Gold Mine. Today there is a hugh effort by those in the community to make it a working village again.

Perfect spot for artist or craftsman

GOLD HILL IS CONVENIENTLY LOCATED WITHIN AN HOURS DRIVE TO CHARLOTTE, WINSTON-SALEM AND GREENSBORO. This beautiful historic village would be the perfect spot for the person looking for a special place to call home. The second building is zoned multi-use. Heating and air conditioning could be easily installed. There are currently 3 ceiling fans. The front space is currently being used as a woodworking shop and has plenty of overhead lighting and large windows. It also has a large porclain sink and a separate bathroom with shower. The back of the building is a two car garage (with loading dock), along with lots of storage cabinets. These two spaces can be locked off from one another. The second floor of this building is currently being used for storage,(accessible by a stairway in the garage), but was designed to be made into a bonus room.

Easy Maintenance, Energy Efficient

House siding is white pine that has been stained. Porches and ceilings are also stained, as is the picket fence. 2"x6" construction allowed for extra insulation, two zones for heating and air conditioning, on-demand natural gas fired hot water heater. All appliances are included (refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, freezer, washer/gas dryer). Gas generator included with home. Electrical system set-up to allow running of furnace, hot water heater and well, should power fail.
