History

Rutherford is where the home of Davy Crockett is located. Here you can visit the replica of his cabin (built with logs from the original cabin) and the grave of his mother, Rebecca Hawkins Crockett. Rutherford celebrates their famous frontiersman with a festival in early October each year with old-fashioned music, arts and crafts, costumes and a parade.
