More About This House

"Darrow" House, Ca. 1913-built home with a mature landscaping and a large back yard under landscape management. The home has been well-maintained over the past 20 years since its purchase in 2003 and meticulously restored and remodeled. A new roof added in 2018 to the main house and the garage was reroofed in 2022. A restored kitchen was completed in 2015 and now opens into the dining room and den to boast a very spacious atmosphere. A Bosch dishwasher is centrally placed on the left of a matching, stainless-steel, extra deep double-sink that has a 9", curved bib ("farm sink").
The dishwasher is practically silent and is greatly loved for its highly-used, third rack (the best space-saving feature imaginable and designed for utensils and smaller items, butcher knives and spatulas). The delay-wash timer allows the cook to prepare the wash to begin later which allows for continuous loading of additional items after cooking and kitchen cleaning is done. The stove area is a built-in island that opens into the den and the counter tops throughout are a beautiful colored MADURA GOLD granite. The cook has all the modern features desired in a new house to include a KitchenAid 5-eye, gas stove with a commercial-style, tear-shaped hood over the stove and vented through the ceiling, a matching convection oven, a stainless-steel sink with a push-button garbage disposal, a new (2022) Frigidaire refrigerator with an inside ice maker, and an additional freezer in the butler pantry, and the garage. Through a swinging door off the kitchen is a very quaint, walk-in butler pantry that features the original cabinets and a built-in hutch. At the front entry into the house you'll first notice a large living room with a gas-log fire place and a hearth made of Italian slate. The front of the house features a large, formal dining room that has been beautifully restored in a Colonial cream color. The parlor has French doors opening from the adjoining main bedroom, there are 11 ceiling fans installed throughout the house,10 downstairs are modern Hunter Originals. The front porch is a great setting for quiet evenings and has two additional Hunter fans. A 2-car carriage house in the rear has automatic overhead doors and an window style air conditioner. There are heart pine & quarter sewn, oak floors throughout the house; There is a large storage room at the top of the stairs made completely of bedded board walls and ceiling. A cedar closet in the smaller upstairs bedroom provides seasonal storage for clothing. This bedroom has its own AC/Heat window unit and can also serve as a study, nursery or sewing room. There is a 2nd, large bedroom in upstairs with private bath, claw-foot bathtub and separate heat and air window units; Downstairs has separate front and rear, central heat and air systems which allows for lower energy use when the front of the house is not being used.

Leasing: Owner seeks responsible family or military personnel to lease for 1 or more years; Background and Credit check, a deposit equal to one month's rent is required, absolutely no smoking and no pets. Property is privately owned by a Utah licensed Realtor and offers no agent co-oping. A purchase option may be arranged. Call for appointment 601-880-9773.
