The Angelino Heights Trolley Line, Inc., a nonprofit charitable public benefit corporation, has been formed by local volunteer residents in order to restore this antique trolley car and establish a working electric streetcar service in Angelino Heights and the surrounding area. The trolley will provide a convenient connection to other nearby historical, pedestrian oriented areas such as the Echo Park Business District and Lake, Chinatown, El Pueblo de Los Angeles State Historic Park and, of course, Union Station.

In recent years (as of 2007), this neighborhood experienced a dramatic resurgence. The HPOZ meetings have a high attendance and request for home improvements. Demand for homes in the area has skyrocketed in the past decade as young professionals return to neighborhoods to reclaim the strong sense of community and to cut down on their commute to downtown.
