History & Information

Construction on the Connors Inn began in 1775 and was completed as a colonial farmhouse in 1777. The home is waterfront, located on the "Archbrook", which is a tributary of the Peekskill Hollow Creek. It features one guestroom for AirBnB, but a total of three bedrooms in all. The main part of the house was built in 1777, but a large East Wing was added around 1933. This includes the master bedroom, which is private, and the Innkeeper's office, and well as two bathrooms, the one for guests, and the Innkeeper's. The original house includes the Dining chamber, the Parlor, the indoor kitchen, a large flight of stairs, a small reading room, the Washington Suite, the only private guestroom for rent, Aidan's Suite, a private bedroom, and the Old Study, which is part of the Innkeeper's Master Suite and is blocked off.
The Inn may have served as many things throughout its 200+ year history, including a farm, merchant's store, boarding house, tavern and it may have even served as an Inn in the past.
There is also an attic, and a Ca. 1779 barn. The property is currently 3/4ths of an acre, but it was once and estimated 20-80 acre property.
Today the B&B is run by the Connors family, who have occupied the house since 1978. They have been praised for their beautiful old house, and for their hospitality as Innkeepers.

The Connors Inn is in the historic village of Cortlandt Manor, just a ten minute drive from the historic city of Peekskill. Just minutes away are historic sites such as the Battle of Van Cortlandtville site, and just 20 minutes away is Bear Mountain State Park and Fort Montgomery Battlefield.
