A Brief History
ur great granddad Cockerill built the home from the Sears catalog. He came here because of the great, clean water. He was a dentist and a doctor and used the corner room of the home for his office.
In 1947, Oklahoma University football coach Bud Wilkinson, wife Mary and two sons came to visit the home as my aunt served as the Wilkinson's nanny.
Everything in the house is original. Hundreds of antiques have been stored from the home. One interesting find was a jar of teeth which may have gold in them.
