Land is timber producing, grows award-winning hay, and provides extra income annually from lease with farmer. Property produces of hay, corn, and soy. Low taxes.

Just minutes away from city life this country oasis offers privacy, privacy, privacy, and lots of history. Enjoy the satisfaction of protecting the historic buildings and the land while nurturing the wildlife and your soul. Great mid-1800s bank barn with plenty of room for horses and storage. Every child should grow up enjoying a historic barn.

The original purchaser from the William Penn's sons built the log house with help from Native Americans and carved out this farm from the wilderness. His eldest son, the 2nd owner, provided the wagon that helped transport the Liberty Bell to Allentown to save it from the British during the Revolution. We found one of the buttons from his military uniform under the floorboards in the log section of the house. The log portion was meticulously restored in 2001-2002 by Country Craftsman, an award winning historic log home expert with 30-years experience. There also is a charming smokehouse, cold cellar, small animal barn, and utility building.

When you enter the property the long picturesque driveway greets you with a canopy of native and fruit trees. The front and back yards are graced with magnificent century old trees and on top of the hill at the highest elevation in Whitehall Township the property has a panoramic 50-mile view of the Lehigh Valley (Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton) and to the north, the Blue Mountains. All of this, plus, the convenience of the largest mall in the Lehigh Valley just 3 miles away, many restaurants, the airport within minutes, and 100s of other stores and businesses in Whitehall Township right down the road in the center of commerce and shopping for the valley. This could be considered one of the most conveniently located large properties in Pennsylvania with low 319 taxes at $3600.

The Lehigh Valley offers city life with plenty of arts and entertainment, as well as, hiking, biking, skiing, boating, fishing, river sports, and Olympic level training centers for gymnastics, ice skating, hockey, bicycling, and equestrian sports. ArtsQuest hosts Musicfest in August with almost one million attendees and over 400 performers. Mayfair, Celticfest, and many fairs and film fests fill the summer calendar. See www.discoverlehighvalley.com for more information.

2017 Property was included in Ag-Free Zone. No conservation easements on property but the land is under pressure from developers on two sides who own large parcels. This is the last privately-owned farm in the township.

Philadelphia and Newark airports are about 60-75 minutes away and ABE is 10 minutes. NYC can take as little as 90 minutes to reach the tunnel and the Jersey shore is 2 hours.

Don't miss this gem. It is a terrific place to raise a family, experience life on a farm, and live in a pristine natural setting that is amazingly convenient to shopping and entertainment.

Preserving History

We have done everything possible to preserve the historic integrity of the property. The house has almost all of the poured-glass windows which we found out are very valuable to authentic restoration projects. The log area was restored with random-width century old floor boards and the second floor of the log section has the original random-width floors. The outside is the original clapboard except where the logs are exposed. The roof is asphalt but the support structure indicated it had been slate. The log section of the house is accented with period hardware, particularly several German locks, and a built-in cabinet was preserved in the dining room. Walk-up attic, with lots of storage space. The smokehouse was improved with a blue-slate floor and the walls were sanded, the windows refinished and clear-coated.

There are two driveways for the property, one owned and one right of way, with a 122' approved road frontage for an additional driveway off Spring Street approved by township Zoning Board in June, 2017 to support dividing property into two parcels if new owner desires it.
