Beautifully restored 1700's farmhouse

Originally a log cabin, this structure consisted of one large room with walk-in fireplace, one room on the second and one on the third. Fifty years later a room was added to each of the floors and 40 years later a kitchen was added.

This home was originally connected to the Emlens who owned this land among others and the famous Emlen home (Washington's headquarters) located diagonally across the street and is thought to have served as quarters for General George Washington's staff during the Whitemarsh encaompment in 1777 and is rumored to have had General Lafayette as an overnight guest.

Today the present owners have added a lovely family room and screened porch, have modernized the kitchen but the charm remains with the original deep windowsills, some original glass in the windows, old wood flooring, and 4 of the fireplaces.
Situated on 1/3 acre, this home is convenient to train and highways, offers 4 bedrooms and 1 full and 2 half baths and garage.
