Round Oak Stove's Lee Mansion
1890s grandeour found here with original Romanesque mansion built for Fred & Katie (Beckwith) Lee. Lee, owner of the famouns Round Oak Stove Co. Property is surrounded by a 3' high stone wall. The whole structure is built of locally harvested uncut fieldstones. Upon entering you notice woodwork not found in today's homes with oak, maple , mahohany and butternut hand crafted in the floors, walls, and ceilings. 8 Fireplaces some are Italian marble, onyx, and hand painted tiles. 5 Stone chimneys reach to over 40' high. Red tile roof and turrets and copper eaves. Ceilings are 12' with an abundance of hardwood beams & moldings. Original carriage entry with a wrought iron entry door.
