The practice has been a long-standing tradition, which has been growing throughout Willow Glen, in recent years. There is also a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, at the Willow Glen Elementary School, located at Minnesota and Lincoln Avenues, during the Christmas season and carriage rides on Lincoln Avenue.
