The Himes-Griffin House The Grande Old Dame of Tampa
Magnificent Mansion located in middle of Tampa's Historic District. Sensitively restored to its original splendor. Suited for traditional family and large scale entertaining. The third floor ballroom speaks to this elegance. The kitchen was connected to the house in the 1940's according to a family member who grew up there. She said Father ordered the connection when food was not hot when it arrived at the table. ( "That does it, we're connecting the kitchen to this house." And, so it was done.) The granite window sills and lentils are solid supports for the home.
