Additional Information

From the enclosed porch you enter the original front door with original hardware and beveled glass into a foyer which has the staircase to the second floor. The stair case has the original cannon ball newel post and spindles. The first floor has a beautifully appointed 24' by 14' newer family room restored to match the original woodwork of the house with a fireplace that has an 11' long hearth and 5 1/6' high mantle that is custom designed. Enclosed in the over sized fireplace is a Vermont Castings gas stove. A great way to take off the chill of the winter months. The Family Room is open to the Dining Room by an archway and the Dining Room opens to the Living Room by an archway. The Kitchen is off the Dining Room. The first floor bath is off the kitchen. This open floor plan is great for entertaining.

At the top of the stairway is a large hallway. Off the hallway there is the original Master Bedroom at the front of the house with a bay window and window seat. The window seat is a great storage area and a nice place to relax and read by the window. This room also boasts a built in shirt closet with 4 drawers underneath that measure 3 1/2 feet deep and 2 1/2 feet wide. There is also a small walk in closet in this room.

The newer Master Bedroom is at the back of the house and is 17' by 13 1/2' with a vaulted ceiling, 2 sky lights, a ceiling fan and a huge 13 1/2' by 5' 8" walk in closet. The master bedroom is large enough for a love seat. Another nice place to relax and read. There are also two more bedrooms on this floor and a full bath.

The house has gleaming hardwoods, 4" casings and bulls eyes around windows doorways and archways. There are also the original French Doors that can be reinstalled leading into the family room if you want more privacy. Throughout the house are five panel wood doors with the original hardware.

There is more. The over 25,000 sq. ft. lot has a 18' by 36' in ground cement pool with beautiful blue tile around the top and plastered walls with Egyptian stairs for an easy entry. The pool is solar heated, has an automatic pool vacuum and a diving board. There is also a seat in the deep end with jets of water for your relaxation. AND the yard has mature landscaping with a patio around the pool, a patio at the back of the house and a custom designed Pergola that has climbing hydrangea and clematis vines. The Pergola has a patio underneath and is a great place for privacy or to get away from the heat of the summer.

There is a two car detached garage with a shed on the back that houses the pool pump, storage and dressing area. Behind the garage is another Pergola over a sand box. A great place for the kids to play. Half of the yard is fenced in and the pool is fenced separately as a safety precaution.

There is a whole house fan to cool the house in the summer, a central vacuum (yes, in an antique house) and pull down attic stairs for access to more storage. Plus lifetime Exterior "paint" that has a 20 year transferable warranty to the new owner. Newer tilt in double pane replacement windows are throughout. Decorative sponge painting is in the living room, foyer, stairway and upstairs hallway.

A full basement, a partial basement and a crawl space for more storage.

Wrentham has a great school system is close to Rt 95, Rt 495, Rt 1, Gillette Stadium, Wrentham Premium Outlets and the commuter train. It is a 40 minute drive to either Boston or Providence. Close to the best of both cities.
