This simple but elegant house built with hand made bricks is located on 5 acres of some of Tennessee's richest soil. Situated on a quiet road in beautiful countryside, it is about 7 miles from Jonesborough, Tennessee's oldest town, and 15 miles from Johnson City, home of East Tennessee State University.

This house, with working fireplaces in all 6 rooms, retains much of its original paint colors and has remained mostly unaltered since it was built.
Two rooms are heated with a wood stove, the other rooms have 220 electric heaters. In winter, the windows are fitted with custom made storm windows.
The house was restored in the late 1970s and has been occupied by the same family since then but now needs some repairs. One room has had termite damage (since treated) to the sills and the kitchen and bathroom need updating.
With two springs on the property and four outbuildings (barn, corncrib, smokehouse and garage), this would be an ideal place for a small farm or for anyone who loves gardening.
