There is also separate dining area which can be used as a breakfast room. The kitchen and family room both have custom paintings done by a local artist, Rick Conn. The family room has two load bearing columns, tile floors, and a custom made Mahogany door with antique glass panel and antique knocker.
The two-over-two Federal style home has a formal living room, formal dining room and large bedroom and fully remodeled bath on the first level. All of these rooms are 18' x 18'. The bedroom has Berber carpet and three closets. The living room has built-in book cases and a fireplace. The dining room is large with a fireplace and a beautiful ornate crystal chandelier and two corner cabinets.
The second level has three additional bedrooms all approximately 18' x l8', one full bathroom, a large storage room with shelves, large landing used as a sitting room. The floors upstairs and on the stairway are original heart pine, restored. Two of the three bedrooms on the second level have Victorian era antique hanging ceiling lamps, built in book shelves. All windows are oversized and have custom curtains and drapes.
The grounds are beautifully landscaped with very old oak trees, flowering trees, perennials, bulbs, and a lovely small pond surrounded by flagstone with a seating area under a pergola. There is a detached 2-car garage, a greenhouse, and ample storage. A wild flower garden adorns the back side of the lot.
This stately home has wonderful curb appeal and all facets of this home have been restored to perfection.
