A Victorian's Victorian! Here @ 622, the 1st things you'll see are a wrought iron fence and gate, as well as a stone Richardsonian Romanesque arch over the picture window of the parlor, and Queen Anne styled spindles over the front entry door that contains beautiful leaded glass. Once inside, you'll feel as if you've stepped back into the late 19th century -- high ceilings with crown molding and large baseboards, 4 fireplaces (one with the original tiles), stained glass windows, and exposed brick walls in the entry hall and kitchen. The main house also has a root cellar with entry on the 1st floor deck. The 2nd floor deck includes a lovely view of St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church's belfry. The house backs up to a brick alley and this church's large open field -- a very private feel for city living. The period lighting, urns and wrought iron trash cans found on West Saint Catherine's streetscape only enhance the historic authenticity of the neighborhood.
