Help Preserve the Glory of Our Historic Heritage
The Old House Archives are a permanent collection of images and information about pre-1950 houses and other historic structures.

Our mission is to gather and record for posterity as much information as possible about our architectural heritage. These archives will remain free and available to the public as they continue to expand over the coming years and decades.
We continually add new items to the archives, so please check back regularly. We also invite you to make your own contribution.
Add Your Historic Property To The Archives
- No Cost or Obligation
- All submissions are subject to approval
- Archives can include unlimited text information and up to 10 photos. We will consider additional photos if they are historic or document a major change.
- You control what is displayed, including street numbers and names.
- Personal information won't be visible.
- Archives can't indicate that a property is for sale or rent, unless you purchase listing services.
It's easy to do. Here's how:
- Start a Preview Listing
- Enter basic information about property. Don't check any of the For Sale or Rent checkboxes.
- Upload images from scans or straight from your digital camera. We'll size the images for you automatically.
- Add descriptions or anecdotes.
- Whenever you are ready, Publish your archive. (Archive submissions are subject to approval, so it may not appear immediately.)
