1878 Victorian

Historic Sage Inn and Stagecoach Station

Formerly, the Sage Inn,this home features 18 inch thick limestone walls, a colonial era standing seam metal roof, and wide plank pine floors. It is a full three story structure built into the side of a hill, giving it a two-story appearance from the front (a bank house). The six bedroom Victorian has been completely restored and appointed with antique furnishings.

A large limestone patio and stairway have been added to the back and north end garden areas, along with a fountain pond and front yard waterfall. The rock came from the same local quarry as that used in the original structure.

The Meadowlark Room is at the top of the stairs on the upper floor and is original to the 1865 Inn.

The Prairie View Room is secluded at the end of a long hall (or sitting area) on the upper floor and has windows on three sides.

The Cottonwood Room
The Cottonwood, on the lower level. has a more contemporary flair.
