This Grand Old Victorian was built circa 1896 for a local merchant. It is actually a "post card" home, as it was featured on post cards from the turn of the century. You'll notice that its beauty hasn't changed in the least over the years. We also note that the house was featured on the front page of the local newspaper a few years back for holiday decoration.

This beauty is located in the quaint town of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, otherwise known as the gateway to the Pocono Mountains. For all of its rural beauty, the house is little more than an hour from New York City.

This genuine painted lady contains all of its original hardware and light fixtures. The Kitchen was renovated over the summer to include an exotic wide-plank hardwood floor, granite counter tops, a Kohler double basin sink and a Kohler brushed nickel faucet. The house also contains a servants' staircase in the rear.

There is also a detached two car brick garage with its original slate roof. The backyard contains raised flower gardens and a flagstone patio.

The dining room includes a ceiling to floor built-in tiger oak hutch. It is simply incredible with a pressed tin colored backing. The room also has a smaller built-in tiger oak and pressed tin backing cabinet. Amazing craftsmanship.

The house also contains four separate stained glass windows. One of the windows is circular and located on the grand staircase. It is framed by ornamental tiger oak.

A sewing room has been converted to a walk in cedar lined closet next to the master bedroom.

This house is a true beauty located minutes from Route 80, just over the bridge from New Jersey.
