Originally a 1,000 acre land grant from the mid 1600's from Lord Baltimore. Formerly a tobacco plantation. Today, 'Bolton' has been completely restored/updated from roof to foundation and everything in between. Noted historic consultant, Michael Bourne, formerly of the Williamsburg Historic Trust, designed and supervised the entire 3 year project!

Handmade reclaimed heart pine cabinets throughout. Subzero refrigerator with freezer and refrigerator drawers on both sides of kitchen. Italian granite on island and designer granite on side counters. Microwave drawer, Wolf gas range with pot filler, Wolf oven plus Frigidaire convection oven, hidden spice racks, baking center with fold up mixer stand, reverse osmosis drinking water faucet, and handmade step-back cupboard.

Approximately 375' of sandy beach along the deep waters of the Wicomico River. Only minutes from the Chesapeake Bay! 9.25 acres with a private pond, boat dock with approximately 7' depth at dock and 21' depth in middle of river. Brackish Tidal waters. Located only 20 minutes from downtown Salisbury, Maryland yet hidden outside of the quaint historic village of Whitehaven. Whitehaven features a ferry that has been in operation since the 1600's! The village is listed on the National Historic Trust. 'Bolton' is considered to be part of this lovely village.
The 'Whitehaven Hotel' is a popular destination for birdwatchers, boaters, bicyclists, naturalists, and artists.

'Bolton' features 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. Fire destroyed the interior of 'Bolton' in 1948, as it did so many other fine historic houses. Rebuilt in 1950, 'Bolton' was a lovely reproduction of a farmhouse style interior. We completely gutted the house and, under the tutaledge of Michael Bourne, historic consultant, the house was brought back to it's circa 1730's former glory! Exceptional cabinet maker's talents were employed as well as the best contractors available.
