This beautiful, historic, newly renovated, home was built in the late 1800s. The first homeowners, John and Annie Latimer McLean, moved into the house in 1901.

This house has been totally renovated inside and out. There are a total of five bedrooms, four and one- half baths, formal dining room, formal living room, den, five custom closets (three walk-in), laundry room, kitchen, breakfast area, five porches, and nine fireplaces.

This house has several features that make it very unique. The colors chosen for every room were custom paint colors that went along with the historical era. Each fireplace had a unique tile finish. All rooms were painted to match the tile work. The fireplaces have been closed up but could be used for electric fire logs or gas fire logs. There are beautiful mantles over each fireplace.

The house has the original bead board ceilings, heart pine floors that have been completely restored, some walls are the original bead board, and the stain glass on the front of the house was found in the attic and restored, three other stain glass windows were added to the house during renovation.

There are a total of 24 solid wood original interior doors in the house. Glass door knobs and door plates were added to all doors. There are three original sets of pocket doors that were refinished. All exterior doors have new custom door knobs to match.

The Five bedrooms have custom fireplaces, closets, and new ceiling fans. The master bedroom is a suite with three total rooms, four closets, and an amazing master bathroom. The master bath has a double mahogany vanity that was made from an antique buffet, two vessel sinks with vessel faucets, a large granite, walk-in shower with a glass exposure, large claw foot tub with custom faucet, and a beautiful stain glass window.

The three upstairs baths are all equipped differently. One bath has a small claw foot tub with a custom faucet, and an antique walnut chest with granite top used for the sink. Another bath has a tub with an enclosed shower and a mahogany buffet with granite tops that was made for the sink. And the other bath has a separate granite shower with a claw foot tub, and an antique walnut chest with a granite top and a custom faucet.

The Kitchen is equipped with brand new stainless steel appliances. An Energy Star Frigidaire refrigerator, a built in energy star Frigidaire self cleaning oven which is also convention a energy star Frigidaire dishwasher , Jenn Air cook top, and a microwave. The kitchen and foyer ceiling is covered with punch tin and the cabinets in the kitchen are custom made and have granite counter tops.

There is a lot of things that have been done to this house to totally renovate it. The entire house has been rewired and the plumbing has been redone. There was no insulation in the house. The entire house has been insulated including all three attic spaces and all exterior walls upstairs and down. Two brand new heating and air units have been installed, one system for the down stairs and one system for the upstairs. Also the 35 year old architectural shingles were replaced this year.

Not only has the house been completely renovated, the yards have been landscaped also. Sod was laid throughout the yard and a complete irrigation system was installed. There are pop up sprinklers in the yard area and regular sprinklers were installed for the flower beds. The flowers that are planted were hand chosen very carefully in order to go along with the era of the house. A privacy fence was built in the back yard along with two brick walkways. Concrete has been poured for the driveway and extra parking has also been provided to accommodate everyone.
