Sistersville, WV and the Frank McCoy House

This jewel of a community is located along the Ohio River between Wheeling and Parkersburg in West Virginia. Families from around the country are relocating to Sistersville for its historic charm, well preserved homes, low cost of living, excellent school system, wonderful local hospital, doctors and dentist, plus an affordable country club. Sistersville remains a community where doors can remain unlocked and neighbors look out of each other. It is an easy walk to the grocery store, pharmacy, library or city pool.

The Frank McCoy House is a contributing structure in the Sistersville Historic District and is eligible for state historic preservation grants as well as historic tax credits. The original slate roof was repaired in part with grant funds. Current owners have made significant repairs, including installation of central air, replacement of front and back porches, exterior painting, installation of storm windows and restoration of floors and woodwork. They had also hired professional landscapers. Although work may need to be done to make the house your own, but it is move in ready and all appliances convey with the property.
