Fitzgerald is a community founded in 1895 by Yankees come south for the weather and southern hospitality. Rich in its "Blue and Gray" history, this small southern Georgia town (the tallest building in town is only five stories) is located just three hours south of Atlanta and is also just 3 hours from Savannah, Jacksonville, and Tallahassee.
Our home is situated within the historic district of Fitzgerald and is unique in both character and design. The only Cedar Shingle home in town, this 2500 square footer offers incredible wood working and hardwood floors throughout its two levels. Sitting on a corner 1 2/3 city lots, this 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home is a charming step back in time to its 1910 construction era. Eleven foot ceilings complement the overall design of the house.
Picture entering into a large 12 x 14 ft foyer designed with elegance and charm that follows throughout the home. The front porch leads to an enclosed bricked courtyard complete with a lighted large fountain which is all contained within a charming hand built picket fence.
