Henry Dusenberry Swayze Home 1850's
This home is in the Designated Historic Area of Belvidere. The area is on te NJ Historic Register, and the National Historic register, although the house itself is not.It was built in the 1850's by Henry D. Swayze who was a Justice of the Peace and a very prominent man at the time. He was 'called' to serve in some capacity in the Lincoln administration shortly after he built this home and so did not occupy if for very long.
