More About This House

Beautiful Tudor style house listed on Historic Register. Built in 1925, this house and grounds/pool are perfect for entertaining, hosting large social events.

Home features grand entrance with stained glass windows. Downstairs master suite w/living area and guest cottage, perfect for in-law suite, or pool house. House is set up for B&B. This home features 6 bedrooms/4.5 baths. House/pool back up to totally private wooded area.

The house was designed by J. Frazer Smith of Memphis, an architect who also published a book called Plantation Houses and Mansions of the Old South. The house is perhaps the only true Tudor style house in Mississippi if not the entire South (in contrast with Tudor-influenced homes of which there are several in Vicksburg and which are typically hybrids between Tudor and Victorian).

The Knox family owned the house for 40 years +/- and their coat of arms is featured in the mantle and stained glass windows.
