Restored 1896 Queen Anne Victorian

This 4,030 square foot Queen Anne Victorian with 1,200 Sq. Ft wraparound porch was fully restored 17 years ago to include Plumbing, Heat & Air, Wall papered, painted inside and out and wood floors finished, with upkeep since then. A new roof was added 3 years ago.

Home is located 90 miles from Myrtle Beach, SC and 35 miles from Pinehurst, NC. This home was featured in the December 2000 issue of Victorian Homes magazine.

House has a central hall plan and the second floor is under a steep gable roof with large dormers flanking the octagonal center turret. The 1,200 sq. ft. one story porch features bracketed turned posts connected by a turned railing and openwork frieze, carried around the main body of the house. A projecting gabled pavilion marks the main entrance bay, echoing the octagonal turret above. House has 10 fireplaces with handmade mantels. All window dressings and rugs are included in the price and furnishings are for sale.

There is a detached one car garage with attached storage area and a 8 x 16' shop with porch.

There is a Butler's pantry between the kitchen and dining room and an additional large room behind the kitchen that was once the kitchen. Wall can be removed to make a very large kitchen with double fireplace in center. Large enclosed laundry room off the kitchen and a large back porch. House has a large office area behind the front down stairs hall. Upstairs bath is 2 rooms. Rooms are approximately 18 x 20 feet. Upstairs central hall is 10 x 30 feet and can be used as a parlor in the bay window area. Most rooms have chair rail and wainscoting. All ceilings are wood. Downstairs ceilings are 11.5 foot and upstairs are 9 foot. There are several light fixtures that are original to house. Chandeliers in dining room and front entry. There are approximately 50 oak and pine trees on the property. This historical home is under covenant with Preservation North Carolina.
