Bradford, Pennsylvania
Side View
Side View
Left hand portion of the house is the main residence. Right hand portion has been converted into two apartments. Third apartment is in the carriage house.

Note the wraparound porch is no longer in existence. The third floor balcony has the original arch-work which can be used as a blueprint to recreate the wraparound porch if so desired.
Cherubic Newel Post
Cherubic Newel Post
This is one of the most ornate examples an attribute to skilled victorian era millwork. Gilding is probably not original but perhaps appropriate to the gilded age 1895 mansion. This newel configuration sets the grand tone for the entire house. Cherubic angel face is one of a kind.
Front View
Front View
This view is an understatement on the outside, but the house is completely mansion quality on the inside. In some ways it is even more grand than its flamboyant Queen Anne towered neighbor to the north. A more modest towered Queen Anne is it's neighbor to the south. One could easily call this part of Millionaire's Row back in the hayday.
Showcase Window
Showcase Window
"Showcase" window on 1895 mansion at 184 Congress which looks out on the former David Phillips (Sr.) mansion across the street. This arched window displays exquisite beveled leaded glass windows which are featured prominently throughout the house. Wreaths and Ribbons as well as Neo-Classical pilasters display Colonial Revival/Neo-Classical tastes popular in the last years of the 19th century into the early years of the 20th.
Side View
Side View
In the arched window the side and top panel have exquisitely cut glass allowing brilliant radiance into the livingroom, which is adorned with birds-eye maple coffered ceilings.
