Mott-Magee Skewes Cotttage

Central portion of house was built circa 1825. Kitchen (on the left in photo) was added in 1875. Addition (on right side) with 2 bedrooms and bath was added in 1929.

The 4 car garage was a carriage house for the church (now a private home) next door. Many of the original timbers and hitching hardware are still in place.

The grounds were once famous for the extensive perennial gardens and plantings - gaining local renown for many years. We have been restoring the beds and Rock Garden using both new and exisiting plantings.

All of the rooms in the house are remarkably bright and sunny - especially during the winter months.

The house is located in the Historic District of Roslyn Village.
