This stately home boasts original fluted 1840's cypress columns and fretwork upstairs balcony.
- This home, built in 1925, is a reproduction of an antebellum home that was once on the property. Some of the materials used in its construction came from the original dwelling. The lot is gorgeous, 1.8 acres (186' X 426') with lots of pecan trees, flowers, shrubs, and bulb plants. This two-story home, built on a conventional foundation, has approximately 3200 sq. ft. of living space, wood windows, roof is 3.5 years old, large columns on front of house have been reworked, electrical and plumbing have been updated. Heat is a set of gas logs and connections for gas infrared heaters, air is five window air conditioners. There are four non-working fireplaces, one with gas logs. Upstairs has a balcony overlooking the front yard. The front porch is very large, and is width of the house. The original brick sidewalk in front has been uncovered and reworked. Paint has been updated, inside and out. There is a beautiful staircase, large foyer, one bedroom downstairs, one bath, formal living room, formal dining, sunroom, or could be another bedroom. Spacious kitchen, including new Maytag electric smooth-top stove, GE dishwasher, an abundance of cabinets, and a breakfast area.
